Is cisco a good stock to buy?

I see that Cisco is going to lay off tons of people? Do you think that this is a good time to buy? I mean with all the lay-offs the profits should increase? There is an article by Mike on the site (I think it is the first one) about Cisco. He has stock in it and seems like he is going to keep it. Thanks guys - any advice is appreciated.
